Clinical Nurse Manager2, Cardiothoracic Theatre

Cpl Healthcare is seeking applications for the role of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Cardiothoracic Theatre at a leading Cork City Hospital. This is a permanent role where the successful applicant would be joining a dynamic team and professional service within an established hospital setting.

The successful applicant will be required to enhance and maintain the highest standards in patient care at all times. You will be required to contribute to the effective use of all hospital resources at your disposal and you will be required to maximise staff development in a learning environment. This will include support, motivation and guidance for all employees within your remit.

To be considered for the role, the following selection criteria are required:

• Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI
• A minimum of 5 years post registration experience in an acute general.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in cardiothoracic theatre. Applicants with extensive theatre experience in other specialist areas will also be considered.
• Proven ability to provide skilled clinical and technical assistance
• Relevant course essential in Peri Anaesthesia and/or Peri Operative nursing or equivalent
• A management qualification is essential
• Preceptorship/teaching and assessing of students is also desirable
